About Liquid Copper Octoate
Liquid Copper Octoate is used to prevent dry rot and mildew growth in lumber as well as as a rot-proofing agent in textiles, cordage, etc. To create a long-lasting defense against termites, beetle & ambrosia & many other insects attacking wood/lumber, its insecticidal properties are utilized. Apart from this, our Liquid Copper Octoate is used in paints for ship bottoms. In the presence of saltwater, copper octoxide hydrolyzes gradually to produce copper hydroxide, which is a hazardous substance. Applying copper to fabric can be done by dipping, spraying, or impregnating it. A dose of 2% to 2.5% metal is advised.
