Product Description

Being an auxiliary drier, Calcium Octoate has little drying action in itself however it is useful in blend with active driers like Cobalt and Lead Octoate. Vehicles having poor tolerance for lead, it replaces part of the lead with a wider quantity of calcium to avoid the hastiness of the lead and keep up drying efficiency. Also, it is useful as dispersing agents, pigment wetting, and in making gloss & hardness better and reducing Silkins. If ground along with drier adsorbing pigments, Calcium Octoate helps in minimizing loss of dry by being differently absorbed.
